Simply Calpe
LITTLE is known about Calpe. Calpe is a town in Alicante by the Mediterranean. That means it is situated at the heart of tourist country but beyond its borders, I admit that you can hardly find any information about it. Calpe is relatively unexplored. Its best assets are the locals. You will encounter lots of buxomly Spanish women in Calpe and they are really very soft spoken. Calpe is actually situated at the foot of the Ifach Rock National Park. You can reach the summit of the rock not by climbing to the top but through a tunnel within the rock. Isn’t that amazing enough? Its most famous beach resorts are clustered around the Maryvilla (crucero)
The months of July to August are the liveliest in Calpe. You’ll find jazz bars still open even in the wee hours of the night. And even though Calpe is a sleepy town of 40,000 people, there are also four star hotels here. By the view of the hotel facades alone, you can deduce that they are already five star ones in nature. Even though the place is relatively expensive, the best hotel that I can recommend in Calpe is Sol Ifach. The design of Sol Ifach is in such a way that it looks like paying homage to a god which is you – their customer. The lobby of the hotel alone is already spectacular and very spacious from end to end. There are a total of 170 rooms in this hotel and every one of them is already booked if you file your reservation only three days ago. You must file your reservation two weeks in advance. The second best hotel in Calpe is Hotel Marisol Park. Hotel Marisol Park features a very stunning tropical garden façade and a Turkish bath
Calpe’s beaches are crystal blue in color just like the one you see in Leonardo di Caprio’s The Beach. Playa de la Fossa is the best beach in Calpe which of course is located directly under the Ifach Rock National Park. Playa de la Fossa features tennis courts and a bowling alley. Popular dishes in the menu are rice and seafood-based. If you are living at some apartment near Playa de la Fossa and you have tremendous amount of spending money, I’m sure you’ll really increase your weight as food in Calpe tends to make you not only healthier but voracious in eating too. If you stroll at the beaches longer, there is a tendency that you will see migrating birds.
On an extremely clear day, you can see the outlines of Ibiza on the horizon. Elsewhere in the island, there are facilities for yachting, windsurfing and other water sports. You’ll see these surfboarders from Playa de la Fossa. If you want to marvel at an underwater sight but without getting wet, then take a tour with a glass bottom boat which departs from Calpe’s main marina every 10 a.m. This business is surely gaining profit every day. Not every day do you get to see an underwater sight without getting wet. If you want to improve your English in your holidays, you can go to a language school: sprachschule englisch Irland.
